Have you ever had that “wow” moment; first impressions, a discovering a rare book, or that impression after seeing something for the first time?

Statistics, although could be a tad of a boring subject; however when applied to data of interest and represented in a visually to tell the story, I’m sure has the ability to impress almost anyone.

The BBC recently a program by Hans Rosling that reveals the story of the worlds past, present and future developments. Hans plots life expectancy against income for 200 countries for over 200 years.

As Hans states we have become an entirely new converging world and it is entirely possible that everyone can make it to the healthy wealthy corner.

As the Economist profiled in October 2009; GDP of a country increase as mobile communications saturates the market, and with the addition of mobile money in the market we will see some of those countries still stuck in the unhealthy-poor quadrant raise or in hovering in the middle raise their overall wealth and overall health. It would be interesting to visually see the effect that mobile money has had on each of the countries in the last 5 years and the next 15 years.

My guess is that Mobile Money will take us to the healthy-wealthy corner!
